Film Sound Creator and Award-Winning Filmmaker!

Meet Mr. Adam Orlowski – the man behind the sounds, and one of our amazing trainers at ACDC Adelaide!

A passion for sound has always been at the centre of Adam’s journey – not just as a personal passion, but as a professional pursuit. For nearly a decade, Adam has immersed himself in the dynamic world of film sound, contributing to a variety of projects. These range from working on Emmy nominated TV productions to internationally award winning independent feature films. His extensive experience has now paved the way for an exciting new chapter: teaching. Backed by his strong academic foundation, Adam is embarking on his first teaching role at the ACDC, where he hopes to inspire the next generation of creatives.

How the adventure began.

Adam’s love for sound and music began during his teenage years when he picked up a guitar and discovered a passion that would shape his future. This passion led him to pursue formal training, earning a CERT IV in Music Technology, which served as a springboard into higher education. He completed a Media Arts degree and went on to attain an honors degree from the University of South Australia (UNISA). Determined to follow his creative instincts, Adam began freelancing, taking on numerous projects within the local film scene before eventually joining a post-production house. Each step in his career has been driven by his unwavering commitment to his craft, leading him to where he is today.

Recently Adam has worked on the South Australian Independent feature film Within the Pines. The film went on the international festival circuit being accepted into Sitges film festival and winning first prize, best feature film at the Flickers’ Rhode Island International Film Festival. Adam is currently working on the local short film The Traveller, getting the film’s sound polished ready for the festival circuit.
